Privacy Policy

Window Seat ("the app") is a flight companion app developed by Renatas Stonkus. It tells you about the landmarks, cities, mountains and coastlines you are flying over. This policy explains what data the app uses and what it does not.

1. Location

• The app asks for your device's location (while the app is open) so it can work out what you are flying over during a flight.
• Your location is processed on your phone only. It is never sent to us or to any other server, and it is not stored after the flight.
• You can deny the permission. The app then follows a built-in flight clock instead of GPS.

2. Flight number lookup (optional)

• If you type a flight number and tap "Find", the flight number you typed is sent to the free public route database adsbdb.com to look up its departure and arrival airports.
• Nothing else is sent: no location, no device identifier, no account information.
• You can skip this completely and choose your airports yourself, which works without any internet connection.

3. What is stored on your device

• Your settings (theme, voice on/off, speaking speed) and a short list of your recent routes.
• This data stays on your device. You can clear the recent routes in Settings, or remove everything by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

4. What we do not do

• We do not require an account and do not collect your name, email address or phone number.
• We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell, share or transfer user data to third parties.

5. Voice

Narrations are read aloud using the text-to-speech engine that is built into your phone. The text is not sent anywhere.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect any data from children.

7. Your Rights

• Access and delete: All data is on your device. Clear the app data or uninstall the app to remove it.
• Permissions: You can revoke the location permission at any time in your device settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
